After helping a group of South African women set up their own newspaper, Debbie Lindsay is now appealing to Hong Kong businesswomen to hand over their business suits.
Ms Lindsay used her printing and publishing experience to help a class of rural Shangaan and Sotho women establish a newspaper as part of their journalism class at the Amazwi School of Media.
Amazwi opened its doors in January and its first class will graduate in December.
The women on the course hoped to secure jobs as reporters, and that is where the suits would come in, said Ms Lindsay, 37, a Briton who has lived in Hong Kong for 14 years.
'They will need businesswear for job interviews. Once they get jobs, they will need to dress smartly for the office every day,' she said.
'In that particular area of South Africa, it is difficult to find that kind of outfit. Also, business suits are way beyond most people's budgets.'
