Canto-pop singer Jacky Cheung Hok-yau  cancelled  another show yesterday because of a sore throat.

About 18,000 fans holding tickets for Sunday's or last night's shows can either ask for a refund or attend  rearranged shows in January.

The cancellation was announced  on the  Year of Jacky Cheung World Tour website yesterday afternoon.

'It's very disappointing as I bought the ticket two months ago and have waited for so long,' said Candice Lee, who had  a HK$150 ticket. The 24-year-old fan said she still looked forward to a deferred show rather than a refund.

Those holding  tickets for last night's show can go to the Hong Kong Coliseum from tomorrow to September 12 to collect a ticket for a rearranged concert on January 26.

Those with  tickets for Sunday night's show can collect tickets for a show on January 27. For refunds, ticket holders can also visit the Coliseum from tomorrow to September 12.

About 9,000 fans left the Coliseum disappointed on Sunday night after receiving  short notice of the cancellation. The announcement  was made at 8pm - 15 minutes before the show was to start.

Concert organiser Florence Chan Suk-fun  said Cheung had  a sore throat and had almost lost his voice.

The star felt it was therefore unfair on fans to perform  and  decided to cancel the show,  Ms Chan said.

'Because of his sore throat, he couldn't sing all the songs.' she said.

Cheung has not performed  for a long time, but his concert tickets fetched more than HK$2,000 on the internet - a sign that he is still one of the hottest singers in town.

His  world tour began on August 17  and  is due to make stops in  Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
