FOUR men were sentenced to between 12 and 30 months' imprisonment by the District Court yesterday for their part in blackmailing and assaulting two sisters aged 18 and 19.
Ma Hing-sin, 17, who admitted causing actual bodily harm and trying to pervert the course of justice, was jailed for one year.
Deputy Judge Wright ordered that the term should run consecutively with the 31/2 years imposed on him in the High Court last September in a separate rape case.
Co-defendants Fong Hoi-lun, 18, and Cheung Wai-tao, 21, who were each found guilty of blackmail and causing actual bodily harm, were jailed for two years. They had pleaded not guilty.
A fourth defendant, Wong Chun-ming, 23, also convicted of blackmail, was sentenced to 30 months' imprisonment.
The two sisters were separately lured to New Territories premises on September 9, 1992, where they were assaulted after Fong accused them of trifling with him.
