Pandas Ying Ying and Le Le, the 2008 Olympics equestrian events and the city's judiciary are among the subjects to be featured on local postage stamps next year. Unveiling some of the latest stamp designs yesterday, Hongkong Post's general manager for stamps and philately, Vivien Lee Suk-fong said the selections were chosen from 162 themes and 62 designs reflecting Hong Kong. 'The photos of Ying Ying and Le Le will be in our July collection to celebrate the first anniversary of their residence in Hong Kong,' she said. Another creature, the jellyfish, will also be featured on new stamps - with a special illuminating effect. To honour the city's judicial system, the Goddess of Justice and the Court of Final Appeal will be featured on new stamps as well. Ms Lee said the Olympic equestrian events to be held in Hong Kong would be celebrated in the August collection. The final designs would be released next year. Advance orders can be placed starting tomorrow at post offices or through Hongkong Post's online ordering service. Other designs would include gold-embossed stamp sheets on Lunar New Year animals and a series on mainland scenery.
