Four more charged in property fraud case
Four more people have been charged for alleged conspiracy to defraud and dealing using the proceeds of crime. Poon Chi-ming, 44, a former general manager of Centaline Property Agency, was charged with two counts of conspiracy to defraud. Former estate agents of the firm, Lau Sau-yu, 37, and Elaine Chan Yee-ling, 40, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud. Chan Ka-si, 46, a director of Classic Look Limited, has been charged with two counts of dealing with property known or believed to be proceeds of an indictable offence. All four will appear in Eastern Court today. The charges follow the prosecution of two others this year.
Driver dies after fall
A forklift operator who passed out and fell from his truck while working at a Lau Fau Shan container yard has died in hospital. Police said the man, 49, had a history of heart disease.
Students arrested for fighting
Police arrested two students for fighting at Delia Memorial School in Yuet Wah Street, Kwun Tong, at about 11.30am. The male students aged 14 and 18 began fighting over nicknames. They were treated at United Christian Hospital for minor injuries.
