Senior civil servant jumps to his death

A senior civil servant jumped to his death from the roof of a Food and Environmental Hygiene Department office in Sai Yee Street, Mong Kok, at about 5pm. Chief health inspector Wong Kwong-ming, 46, was found unconscious and taken to Kwong Wah Hospital, where he was declared dead. Food and environmental hygiene director Eddy Chan Yuk-tak said the department would assist the family.
