TRAINER Bruce Hutchison returned from a buying mission to New Zealand last night to discover he had lost sprinter Golden Gamble who now makes a surprise return journey to the stable of Kenny Kam. Golden Gamble finished fourth and bled last week at Happy Valley when a 5-2 favourite - but the switch was a bitter disappointment to Hutchison. ''I have been around here long enough to expect anything but we put a lot of work into that horse. ''He was simply scared stiff of the gates when he came to me and we put in hours of work to get him used to them and a racing proposition. ''I thought he could win last week on his first-up effort but he didn't and he has been officially classified as a bleeder. I am sorry to lose him,'' added Hutchison, who bought three yearlings in New Zealand. Leading trainer Ivan Allan was also active buying a couple of good-looking types. Derek Cruz was also in attendance along with Lawrie Fownes, who did a bit of travelling around the country to secure the horses he was after.
