It may look like an iPhone, with a big touch screen, but the new iPod touch can't make phone calls.

The iPod touch breaks new technological ground - it takes the innovations that launched the iPhone and brings them to the portable media player market.

The new features include buttonless user interface and a multi-touch navigation system that allows you to use more than a single touch point to interact with the software, such as enlarging and shrinking photos by moving two fingers closer together or farther apart.

The menu system is basically the same as the iPhone, with easy-to-access icons for accessing your music, photos, videos, contacts and so on.

While iPod touch doesn't come with GSM connectivity, it is equipped with wireless LAN and can connect to wireless hotspots.

To support its wireless networking, the iPod touch is equipped with the Safari browser and a dedicated channel for watching YouTube videos.
