A FILM producer found to have a cache of drugs in his home was yesterday jailed for 11 years.

Mr Justice Bewley imposed the penalty on Chau Wai-kuen, 33, in the High Court, after Chau had pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in dangerous drugs.
Senior Crown Counsel Fanny Wong said police had raided a Lai Chi Kok flat in the early hours of February 20 last year.
A search of the premises revealed a quantity of heroin mixture, containing a total of 397 grams of salts of esters of morphine.
Police also found 5,363 grams of herbal cannabis hidden inside two sofas.

Chau's counsel, Wong Man-kit, said Chau's older brother had died of lung disease in mid-1992. Chau himself suffers from tuberculosis.
