New levels of premium living

Luxury residential leasing will reach new highs with the creation of The HarbourView Place in West Kowloon.

The Sun Hung Kai Properties' project will be Hong Kong's tallest high-end serviced suite complex and will offer breathtaking views across Victoria Harbour to Central in addition to world-class amenities.

The HarbourView Place's 266 suites will occupy the 50th to 70th floors of The Cullinan II, one of the twin towers that will be the city's highest residential project.

And the old real estate adage of 'location, location, location' really does apply in this case as The HarbourView Place will form a key ingredient of the new-look west Kowloon.

The property is part of a wider project that includes the adjacent International Commerce Centre (ICC), to become the world's third tallest building when completed, that is part of the Kowloon Station Development.

Mavis Kang, general manager of Signature Homes, the residential leasing arm of Sun Hung Kai Properties, is confident HarbourView Place will satisfy their guests' requirements for 'premier living standards'.

'It features a high-quality and comprehensive standard of hotel services to guests, further expanding and enhancing Signature Homes' quality luxury residential portfolio with an additional top-end serviced suite hotel,' she said.

'We are confident that The HarbourView Place will be well-received by the market, particularly after our experience with its sister property, Four Seasons Place.'

And Ms Kang believes the complex will add to the success of the company's other high-end property.

'We are proud to have been able to witness Four Seasons Place successfully redefining the standard for premium luxury living,' she said.

'It is evident that market demand for this type of quality serviced suite hotel is on the upswing, and so The HarbourView Place will accommodate these needs.'

It will have about 266 deluxe rooms including studios and one, two and three bedroom suites from 400 sqft to 1,500 sqft.

The HarbourView Place will offer all the services expected of a luxury property of its type.

In addition to comprehensive facilities such as room service, gym and health club, orientation tours and conference facilities, it will have attentive, round-the-clock concierge services.

Guest activities and other personalised services to cater to different needs will also be available.

Guests will have exclusive access to the W Hotel spa and pool as well as the convenience of being located just an elevator ride away from Elements, Hong Kong's largest shopping mall.

Assistant general manager of Signature Homes, Belinda Kuan, said The HarbourView Place will offer unparalleled luxury accommodation for expatriates in Hong Kong.

'We have adopted an uncompromising approach to finish and furnishing, in-room provisioning and facilities, to accommodate the requirements of today's senior executives and their families,' she said.

'Business executives and expatriates from multinational corporations across the world will find The HarbourView Place to be the first choice destination on the Kowloon waterfront.'

Ms Kuan said The HarbourView Place is the only luxury serviced suite hotel in west Kowloon and that the Kowloon Station Development is becoming a landmark for top-quality living as well as a business hub.

The leasing company is the largest purveyor of luxury residential accommodation in Hong Kong, with a deluxe property portfolio that includes high-end residences in areas like Mid-Levels and Island South.

And the move across the harbour to West Kowloon will not isolate guests as Union Square is already attracting interest from multinationals because of its prime location as a business and transport hub.

'It is the objective of Signature Homes to provide high-quality accommodation for a new era in business in Hong Kong and throughout Asia,' Ms Kang said.

The company believes the development will attract senior management predominantly from the finance industry, with the majority coming from Europe and America. And it will be especially attractive to those who work in the ICC.

She explained HarbourView Place will provide superb connectivity and is convenient to a range of quality shops, restaurants and other facilities.

'It is uniquely positioned at the junction of three major rail lines, offering unparalleled transportation access within Hong Kong, its immediate surrounding as a focus of the Pearl River Delta, and indeed beyond for conducting local and international business,' she said.

Sun Hung Kai Properties will set a new rental benchmark for luxury serviced suites in Kowloon, with plans to lease The HarbourView Place at HK$60 per sqft.

The proposed price is comparable with rents at top-end serviced flats in traditional high-end districts on Hong Kong Island.

Leasing of The HarbourView Place units will start later this year while the property will be launched next spring.
