Wine importer Fico will hold a tasting of Italian wines tonight at Cafe Safety Stop in Central. Wines include Moscato d'Asti, Barbaresco and Barolo from the Piedmont DOCG, Brunello di Montalcino and Chianti Classico from Tuscany, and Sanrocco Cabernet Sauvignon and Deliella Nero d'Avola IGT. The eight-course dinner includes squid ink and crab cannelloni with fennel cream, served with the Chateau de Pibarnon-Bandol 2001 from Provence, and roasted Maine lobster with basil and Provencal-style sauteed vegetables, served with the Champagne Delamotte rose.
