THREE men yesterday denied conspiring to rob a leading jewellery shop in Central. Yee Kwai-fook, 33, Lee Yau-wah, 31, and Tsang Sau-fuk, 32, pleaded not guilty in the High Court. A fourth defendant, Choi Kim-chau, 32, pleaded not guilty to possession of firearms and ammunition without a licence. Opening the case, Senior Crown Counsel Francis Lo said the conspiracy was alleged to have started on December 1, 1992, and finished on February 2 last year when police raided a room in the China Harbour View Hotel, Wan Chai, and arrested Yee and Lee. Under caution, Yee admitted that he and others had planned to rob staff at the Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Company, counsel said. Mr Lo said three co-conspirators would testify for the Crown about Yee, Lee and Tsang's involvement in the plan. The trial before Mr Justice Stuart-Moore continues.
