Who? Opened by Russian-Australian Rozalia Kamenev, Cara & Co is an Australian company known for its innovative concept stores combining fashion, art, food, books and music. This boutique - the first Cara & Co store in Russia - opened in April.

Fashion finds: focusing on what the company considers 'intellectual fashion', the boutique stocks cutting-edge brands from Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Portugal, Belgium and the United States. Look for unusual men's and women's fashion brands such as Akira Isogawa, Tim Van Steenbergen, Natan, Nicolas K, Delvaux, Nom*d, Bitte Kai Rand, Ksubi, Jayson Brunsdon, Johnstons, John Smedley and more. The store also carries accessories such as handbags by Bulga and Gryson, jewellery by Ninh Wysocan, glasses by Theo and hats by Christophe Coppens. There is an extensive selection of vintage high-fashion labels such as Chanel, Lanvin, Gucci, Paco Rabanne and Courreges.

The vibe: designed by Russian architects in collaboration with the store's in-house creative team, the space is designed to resemble a gallery, with merchandise displayed like art. Exposed brick walls, concrete floors, chandeliers and iron fixtures decorate the space. The store is divided into four zones. The 'fashion' zone showcases the extensive selection of clothing and accessories while vintage offerings are found elsewhere. Check out the 'books, lifestyle and magazines' zone for selections from publishing houses such as Assouline, Murdoch and Thames & Hudson as well as CDs and DVDs. Cosmetics and food are included in this zone. The 'break' space is where customers can relax, view art and photography works and have a drink.

The crowd: intellectual men and women who respect innovative fashion over logos.
