THE article on page three of the South China Morning Post, January 24, gives the impression that the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force (RHKAAF) was not affected by the requirements of the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order in the same way as theGovernment Flying Service (GFS) - this is not the case.
In Hong Kong the Rules of the Air and Air Traffic Control apply equally to civil and military aircraft - both the RHKAAF and Royal Air Force were and are legally constrained by exactly the same operational restrictions as the GFS.
