This week's question: How do you feel about tattoos?

Jeremy Cheung, 18

I really like basketball, so I watch the NBA, and its highly-tattooed (and highly-paid) players, a lot. I think tattoos are fine. After all, it's your body, and while it might be better to have meaningful things under your skin, it's also your choice if you want to become a walking picture frame. That said, a tasteful tattoo does look really cool. I don't have the guts to get one though. My parents would skin me alive.

Jason Lam, 17

Tattoos are a way to express yourself. Although some societies stereotype tattoos as a sign of violence or gangs, I think it's a perfectly natural thing. In fact, I respect people who have the determination to have something permanent on their body.

Alexandra Hirst, 14

I think permanent tattoos are tacky. Why on Earth would you want something on you for the rest of your life? Especially when you can have a gorgeous temporary tattoo that lasts up to three months. If one day you want an angel and the next you want a devil, it's simple. Permanent tattoos are there for good. You can get them lasered off, but I've seen the scars. Why go through the pain and regret when you can have something done in henna?

Shubhi Kalra, 15

I think people see tattoos as being fashionable. But it's a very old practice. And I think it's great that something so ancient is still so fashionable.

Natasha Sarangi, 17

I love tattoos. But not like all over the body - they make people look like a gothic punk rock star. I believe there's nothing wrong with a tattoo as long as it represents something meaningful. I wouldn't want to get something I'd regret when I turned 40. They look nice if they're small and inconspicuous. I don't like snakes, scorpions or other obvious ones. A little cross or cupid will do. I personally would like a tattoo - a temporary one, anyway!
