Post office denies responsibility for abandoned mail bag
A post bag found abandoned on a street in Wan Chai was not left there by a member of the post office's staff, Hongkong Post said. In reply to a report published by a Chinese-language newspaper that a Hongkong Post bag - filled with 400 brochures sent by a religious group - had been left unattended outside a construction site for three days since October 4, a post office spokeswoman said the bag was possibly dropped by the sender. The spokeswoman said the office lent post bags to bulk mailers and no post office in the district had received any complaint about lost mail.
