Smoker punches bus driver

A bus driver, 47, was assaulted after asking a passenger not to smoke on board a double-decker in Hung Hom. The driver acted after seeing the man carrying a lighted cigarette as he boarded the Kowloon Motor Bus vehicle in To Kwa Wan Road near the junction of Sheung Heung Road at 7.45am. He was punched after telling the passenger he would have to get off the bus and discard the cigarette before he could reboard. The victim was treated for facial injuries at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
