Taiwanese actress and singer strives to make her dreams come true
Taiwanese actress and singer Enno is very happy with her latest work, a collaboration with her film director father Cheng Wen-tang. Enno wrote the script and stars in the coming-of-age story Summer's Tail.
The 20-year-old says this is her personal statement on what it's like to be young. Set in the countryside, the film is about four young people who spend an unforgettable summer together.
Enno plays Yvette, a spirited girl who suffers from heart disease and is forced to stay at home after collapsing at a school concert. One day she meets her former schoolmate Jimmy (Bryant Chang), who has left school after falling in love with a teacher.
The two team up with a Japanese student who dreams of being a footballer and Yvette's best friend to find a place in the country where they can share their hopes and dreams.
Enno says that Yvette is her ideal self, a young girl unafraid to chase her dreams.
