A caption in yesterday's International section incorrectly stated that former Mexican president Vicente Fox's party had ruled Mexico for 71 years before losing power in July, 2000. In fact, it was Mr Fox's party which came to power in 2000, becoming the first opposition party to do so since 1920. We apologise for the error.
