Chinese University played host to two academic heavyweights this week in the latest instalment of its series of lectures by Nobel laureates. Around 500 academics and members of the public attended the two talks by physicists Yang Chen-ning and Martin Perl. In a separate session, the two leading scientists met with more than 100 secondary school and university students in an informal question-and-answer session. CUHK has also launched an exhibition to mark the 50th anniversary of Professor Yang's Nobel prize, which was awarded in 1957. Professor Perl won the prize in 1995.
