A 59-year-old woman fainted during a visit to her ancestors' grave at Pat Heung in the New Territories. She died later in hospital. A government spokesman said the Fire Services Department received a report that a woman had collapsed on a hill near Shui Tsan Tin Village. The woman, surnamed Lee, was on a trip to her ancestors' grave site with relatives. Her son carried her unconscious down the hill on his back before rescuers arrived. A government spokesman said she died soon after arriving at Pok Oi Hospital in Yuen Long. She was certified dead at 3.11pm. She was thought to have been suffering from an illness for some time.
