As a Canto-pop singer-songwriter, Louis Cheung Kai-chung knows how complicated life can be.
That's why he wishes his son, now four months old, grows up to become a simple and peaceful man.
'My profession is a complicated one. It can make you do things that you are not willing to do and change your personality - and sometimes you are not even aware of the change,' says Cheung.
'I don't think people have to be number one to live a good life. I hope my son can become a peaceful person who knows how to appreciate life and the people around him.
'This is a quality that I find lacking in many Hong Kong people.'
Cheung says his life values and ideas of parenthood came from his father, who is both a liberal and a disciplinarian when it comes to raising children.
