Chopard Hong Kong managing director
What is your favourite complication? The L.U.C Chrono One chronograph, which in many ways demonstrates Chopard's perfect mastery of haute horlogerie.
This chronograph is one of the most sophisticated horological complications. The timepiece is in line with the tradition of extremely upscale mechanisms, including column wheel, fly-back function, automatic winding and a lengthy power reserve. The timepiece has given rise to the filing of three patents, including, the reset function, the chronograph movement and the self-winding mechanism.
What is your favourite material in a watch? I am particularly fond of platinum. Its density and weight provide the metal's durability, so platinum items are created for a lifetime. The metal's characteristics correspond to the highest standards of the sophisticated watch designs. Many of our watches employ platinum, and the L.U.C 4T Quattro Tourbillon model is one of our best selections that is also available in platinum.
What do you think is the best innovation of the year? L.U.C Tech Twist. Equipped with proprietary Calibre L.U.C 96TB, the watch merges technology, design and aesthetics. The distinctive features of this model that partially reveal its sophisticated mechanism are an off-centred crown at 4o'clock, small seconds and a date display placed at 7o'clock.
