A good boss knows how to reward his employees
They may not be the best-paid fund managers in town but they are going to be some of the richest.
As Value Partners Group ended its new share offering yesterday, four young fund managers are sitting on almost HK$1.5 billion worth of shares in their investment firm.
Value Partners is on the verge of capitalisation of at least HK$10.85 billion.
According to the prospectus, fund managers Choi Nga-chung and Ho Man-kei each own 57.65 million shares or 3.6 per cent of the company while Renee Hung Yuek-yan and Louis So Chun-ki each hold 40.36 million shares or 2.52 per cent.
Assuming the offering is priced at the top price of HK$7.63 per share, Mr Choi and Mr Ho will have shares worth HK$440 million while Ms Hung and Mr So each will own shares worth up to HK$308 million.
