Hong Kong's top players beat strong competition from around the region to secure championship honours
Hong Kong secondary boys' team shone brightly in the Schools' Interport Table Tennis Championships 2007-2008. They clinched both the individual and the group championships on November 3.
Cheng Chor-fung from Ying Wa College, champion of the Jing Ying Table Tennis Tournament held last month, was in a good form. He beat players from Guangdong, Fujian and Macau to clinch the secondary boy's crown.
Moreover, he led his team, comprising three other talented young players - Chiu Chung-hei, Wong Chun-ting and Lee Chi-kit - to clinch the crown of secondary boys' group as well.
Tong Wun, coach of the secondary boys' team, said she was happy with the great result.
'Cheng Chor-fung is in very good condition, so his teammates feel more confident and relaxed.'
Both Li Chi-kit and Chiu Chung-hei came third in the secondary boys' competition.
