Diamond aficionados in Hong Kong, brace yourselves for De Beers Diamond Jewellers designs that push the limits of creativity and items so rare that they redefine the meaning of opulence.
The company will open its first shop at the Landmark in Hong Kong next month.
One of the highlights of the store would be a new line called Ice on Fire, featuring designs with a new innovative star setting developed by the company, said global chief executive Guy Leymarie. 'It is a totally different interpretation of diamonds.'
Diamonds in the Ice on Fire designs had an icy look and a tactile feeling, he said.
'They are very shiny, like snakeskin in daylight.'
As the diamonds are set close to each other and there is minimum metal between them, they reflect on each other and sparkle more than those in a pave setting.
