Clementi Secondary School
The school held its 82nd Speech Day on November 8, with guest-of-honour Arthur Au Kam-yuen officiating at the prize-giving ceremony.
Mr Au inspired the audience with a stirring speech based on his own life and on world events. He encouraged students to appreciate their Chinese heritage and stressed the need to master the English language in order to face the many challenges, such as globalisation.
He also told students to broaden their horizons and to appreciate the works of English poet and playwright William Shakespeare. Mr Au said many opportunities were available to studentsand urged them to study hard. He encouraged students not to give up.
There were several outstanding speeches as well as musical performances to ensure a memorable day for the audience.
