Why go? Strawberries, tea and quaint English-style cottages with beautiful rose gardens are a few of the reasons to escape to the hills of Malaysia's Cameron Highlands. At 1,500 metres above sea level, the cool climate is also a welcome relief from the heat and humidity of the coastal plains.

What about dining? The resort has three dining areas. The Dining Room offers a relaxed ambience with views of the 18-hole Cameron Highlands golf course. It serves western fare along with local specialities, all prepared with ingredients from nearby farms.
On the menu at the Jim Thompson Tea Room are sandwiches, pastries, home-baked scones served with Cameron strawberries and a selection of local teas.
The resort also has the Cameron Highlands' only Japanese restaurant, Gonbei, which boasts a sake bar that carries a good range of traditional rice wines and whiskies.
