Tseung Kwan O Government Secondary School
Tseung Kwan O Government Secondary School held its 19th athletic meet at Sai Kung Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground on November 30 and December 3.
The athletes impressed everyone with their perseverance, sportsmanship and team spirit as they competed for trophies.
The non-participants were also active as helpers, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides or Red Cross members.
The rest cheered loudly for their teams and chanted slogans. The stadium was filled with applause as everyone became involved in the competition.
Yellow House emerged overall champions, while Red House won the Best Team Spirit and Co-operation Award.
The ceremony ended with an address by guest-of-honour  Li Leung Man-kai, the principal of the Arts and Technology Education Centre.
SKH Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School
The school held its 35th Speech Day on December 7 at the school hall.
The ceremony opened with the national anthem and school hymn, followed by a speech by the school supervisor, Lee Chi-yuen.
Rhonda Leung, the principal, spoke about the steps taken by the school to help students progress, and also their remarkable achievements in public exams.
Guest-of-honour Raymond  Wong Hung-chiu, Permanent Secretary for Education, encouraged students to strive to become all-rounders.
Prizes and scholarships were presented to outstanding students.
The audience was touched as two Form Six students gave a vote of thanks to all the teaching staff.
Reverend Bartholomew Ma presided over the benediction.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the school orchestra performed the Egmont Overture and the Mixed Voice Choir sang The Lord Bless You and Keep You.
The audience was thrilled to hear the orchestra who had taken first place at last year's Hong Kong Youth Interflows.
The Mixed Voice Choir also impressed the guests, having won the 59th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.
Kellett School
Kellett School unveiled a magnificent artwork  on December 10 to celebrate the school's 30th anniversary.
The Anniversary Mosaic comprised abstract designs, expressing natural forms of energy and movement.
More than 250 students worked for about two months on the artwork.
Kathy Ponter, art teacher and manager of the mosaic project, said creating the huge artwork was a challenging task.
The project allowed children to be creative and display their talents.
Students, teachers and parent volunteers were very enthusiastic and showed great imagination.
Artists-in-residence Gareth Dunster and Karen Po were also involved in the project.
They believe the mosaic will inspire students to explore their talents and express their ideas.
It was also a fascinating experience for the parent volunteers.
They were amazed by the different patterns and styles used by students to express themselves.
The mosaic is now on display  in the hallway between the old and new wings of the school.
