Don't promise what you can't deliver

Have you ever regretted making a promise to someone? I definitely have to answer yes to that question.

If you do make a promise to another person, you should make sure that you are able to deliver on it.

Don't let the short-term benefits cloud your vision. If you can't come through with what you have promised you can lose the trust of a friend and gain a reputation for dishonesty.

In the past people used to say that 'a promise is worth a piece of gold' but nowadays, many promises get thrown into the rubbish bin.

If you want to save face and prove you have integrity, you should always think before you make a promise.
