December 9 Woman donates blood. Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) processing separates it into red cells, plasma and platelets.
December 13 Child receives platelets for chemotherapy at Tuen Mun Hospital. Plasma is sent to Australia for processing.
Thursday morning  Wong Yun-cheun is admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital for transfusion of red blood cells.
Thursday afternoon Wong receives transfusion, loses unconsciousness and is sent to intensive care unit within two hours.
Thursday evening Wong's family is informed.
Saturday  BTS is informed.
Sunday  BTS completes tests on donor, recipients and tracking of third bag. Hospital Authority  announces bacteria-contaminated blood transfusion. Expert team formed.
Monday  Wong, 52, dies. Expert team visits BTS and the hospital.
