Call for MPF passbooks to check accounts

The Federation of Trade Unions has called on Mandatory Provident Fund providers to introduce a passbook system so employees can check their accounts regularly. The call came after an FTU survey found 66 per cent of 380 people polled said they did not know whether their MPF investments lost money or made a profit in the past year. More than 80 per cent said they did not know how much had been deducted from their account for management fees.
