Ask yourself, do you really need to wear makeup to school? I know cosmetics hide the worst and bring out the best in a girl, but attending school is not the same as going to a beauty pageant.
School is a place where moral values and virtues are taught.
I think it would be fair to say putting makeup on to show off isn't one of them.
This may sound like a cliche, but inner beauty really is more important than your appearance.
That is what schools are trying to teach us, despite the avalanche of magazines and TV ads with movie stars and models.
When teenagers wear makeup to school, the difference between the 'pretty' and 'not so pretty' is enhanced.
We all know what teenagers are like. The prettier girls tend to hang out together and  neglect the ones they consider less attractive.
This is not healthy and things can get ugly.
If makeup was banned in schools, a lot of disputes  could be alleviated, which should make for a better learning environment.
I have nothing against girls wearing makeup, but I don't want my school memories to be full of conflict.

In the past, makeup was for grown-ups who needed to look their best.
Nowadays, women of all ages wear makeup on any occasion, and sometimes just for fun.
Certain places, such as nightclubs and restaurants, encourage the use of makeup, but others, like schools, regard it as a distraction.
Many schools ban makeup completely, saying it distracts students from learning and makes them look untidy.
I think it's a lack of self-control that causes distractions in school.
If makeup is allowed, then students have the responsibility to use it sensibly. They must stay focused during class.
If makeup can distract them, it's because they are easy to distract!
When it comes to untidiness, suitably applied makeup can make girls look more groomed and more tidy.
If students use it to look more tidy, then it could give the school a more polished image.
Taking care of one's appearance rarely causes untidiness.
Schools should allow students to have a choice.
If students have self-control, makeup will not affect their concentration.
