A 30-minute body treatment that involves being covered from neck to toe in wax then wrapped in plastic.
What does it involve?
After lying down on a bed covered in a plastic sheet, the therapist will coat your body with two layers of melted paraffin wax that is infused with vitamin E oil. It's hot but not unbearable. If it's your first time, the therapist will use a slightly cooler wax for the first layer. She then puts on the plastic wrap to keep the wax hot.
What's good about it?
The hot wax stimulates your circulation and lymphatic system. The treatment makes you sweat! I felt lighter almost immediately. My skin also felt soft and smooth due to the moisturising vitamin E oil. It's recommended not to shower immediately so that the oil can be properly absorbed into your skin.
