This MSc requires 30 credits. Students are required to pursue core subjects and various electives including health informatics, clinical pharmacology, Chinese medicinal food therapy, end-of-life care, emergency nursing and epidemiology, plus an option of either a research dissertation or clinical practicum. Graduates are expected to meet the demands of health-care reform in Hong Kong and to establish innovative projects to facilitate preventive, curative and rehabilitative client care. Requirements Bachelor's degree in nursing from PolyU or its equivalent. Currently practising in a specialist field. Cost HK$2,700 per credit. Students can pursue one of the following groups to suit their professional development: advanced practice, health services development and planning, paediatric nursing and public health. Elective modules are provided to keep students up to date with the new developments in health-care reform. The teaching involves lectures, tutorials, problem-based learning and clinical laboratory work. Requirements A registered nurse holding a bachelor's degree in nursing from HKU, or its equivalent. And eligibility for active nursing registration with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong, or its equivalent. Satisfactory result in a qualifying examination is required. Cost HK$39,000 per year. The programme consists of six semesters over two years. Aid Government non-means tested loan scheme for eligible students. A range of scholarships available based on various criteria.
