THE new year is coming and everyone hopes it will be better. But there is one disease which will always be around us. It is AIDS.

  The number of AIDS sufferers is still increasing. Dozens of people in Hong Kong may soon die of the disease and hundreds of others will become HIV carriers.

  It is still only a minority of people who are HIV carriers. The majority of us are very lucky. Therefore, we should not discriminate against them. We should show our concern and help them to live their lives meaningfully and happily.
