Several years after her acting debut in an independent film, Canto-pop singer Elanne Kwong (below) finally got the chance to shine again on the silver screen in See You in You Tube. The teen comedy, directed by Oxide Pang Chun and six young filmmakers, made HK$2 million at the box office in the first four days - a remarkable feat for a movie starring no big names. 'There are very few teen dramas nowadays that are not romances. The topic of this movie is quite new, - half of it is like a reality show while the other half comprises many scenes that were shot secretly,' said Kwong, who plays a young girl competing against her childhood friend for love in the movie. Kwong made her acting debut in indie teen drama A Side, B Side, Seaside a few years ago. Since then she has played bit-parts in movies such as Invisible Target in addition to releasing an EP last summer. 'I am more relaxed and natural this time as an actress. In the past I co-starred with big names such as Nicholas Tse Ting-fung and the pressure was huge. This time all the actors were newcomers and the atmosphere on set was very relaxed. The results pretty much reflect the world of young people nowadays,' said Kwong. Kwong will next star in a sequel to the 2003 comedy Truth or Dare: 6th Floor Rear Flat. She said she would like to shed a few tears on screen. 'I like watching Korean dramas, I cry much harder than the characters themselves when watching them at home,' she said.
