Flying past Mood lighting to reflect the changing sky, lounges, powder rooms for ladies and 'scenes of living-room-quiet relaxation'. This is the blurb from a film - 61/2 Magic Hours - made 50 years ago to celebrate the pleasures of flying aboard a Pan Am Boeing 707 (above). The title refers to the time it took to cross the Atlantic Ocean in 1958. The short film can be viewed at www.archive.org/details/612Magic1958 . The next package in Iran, organised by Airevents.com, is set for February 14 to 18 and costs Euro789 (HK$9,100) for single travellers (international flights not included) for four 707 flights and two aboard other later-vintage airliners.
