Beijing Capital pays 26.9b yuan for terminal

Beijing Capital International Airport has agreed to pay 26.9 billion yuan for the third terminal at Beijing Capital Airport from parent Capital Airport Holding. The assets to be acquired included a domestic terminal, an international terminal and a 3,800-metre runway, the firm said in a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange last night. It will operate the terminal on a trial basis from February 29 to March 25. During this period, it will pay the parent firm 240.1 million yuan per month as compensation, but the maximum compensation will not exceed 2.4 billion yuan by the end of this year.
