A miniature Lunar New Year flower market featuring narcissus, orchid, lucky bamboo and tangerine blossoms has opened at Tin Hau MTR Station.

The origami flowers, created by folding paper, are the latest in the 'Art in the MTR - Roving Art Exhibition'.

The exhibition, An Origami Welcome to Chinese New Year, features more than 100 Lunar New Year origami artworks, including blossoms symbolising wealth, and good fortune and happiness represented by tangerines.

The flowers on display were folded by members of the Hong Kong Origami Society.

'The origami works in the exhibition look like real Lunar New Year blossoms,' said Miranda Leung, general manager of corporate relations for the MTR Corporation.

'We invite passengers to visit the exhibition and witness the art of paper-folding before or after they visit the flower market in Victoria Park to enjoy the festive atmosphere of Lunar New Year.'
