Students' creative skills on show at arts exhibition

Artworks by more than 580 students are on display at the Exhibition of Secondary School Students' Creative Visual Arts Work (2007-8), which started on Monday. Exhibits include drawings, printmaking, photos and sculptures, as well as video recordings. The exhibition is held at the Education Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre and runs until next Saturday.

Diplomatic shuttle at Baptist University

Twenty-two students from Baptist University will get a taste of diplomatic life when they attend two Model United Nations conferences. Sixteen are attending the 54th Harvard National Model United Nations conference in Boston, which ends today, while the rest will take part in the Asian International Model UN conference at Peking University in Beijing, from March 13 to 16.

CityU student wins US scholarship

A City University student has been awarded a US$1,500 scholarship from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in the US. Joe Wu Weijiu, a third-year electronic engineering student, has been working on reducing battery consumption rate in mobile phones.
