Man in court over thrown bottle
A 27-year-old man, surnamed Lin, will appear in Kowloon City Court today charged with common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm after he allegedly threw a bottle that hit pop idol Fiona Sit Hoi-kei during a Mong Kok charity event on Saturday.
Maid dies after collapsing
A 51-year-old domestic helper died an hour after she collapsed in a toilet in a flat at Discovery Park, Tsuen Wan, at about 8.40am yesterday. Her employer, 48, called police when she found the maid, surnamed Deliquiano, in the toilet. Deliquiano was declared dead at Yan Chai Hospital. Police said the case was not suspicious.
2,600 jobs on offer at fair
A job fair will be held at Kingswood Ginza, Tin Shui Wai, today and tomorrow, with 23 firms offering more than 2,600 positions, including manager, shop supervisor, shop sales, customer service officer, clerk, cashier and warehouse assistant and salaries up to HK$10,000 a month.
