CCC Ming Kei College
A pantomime-style production of the popular Chinese folk tale, Mulan, thrilled the students of Ming Kei College recently.
The play, staged by the Chunky Onion Theatre Company, was in English so we were worried that we would not be able to understand it.
But we were wrong! The drama was interactive, educational and informative, and helped enhance our English knowledge.
We particularly liked the  scenes where Mulan learned to fight like a soldier.

The prefects' inauguration for the new academic year took place  in the school hall recently.
The highlight of the ceremony was the speech by the guest-of-honour,  Raymond Wong Wai-man, the former assistant head of the Immigration Department.
To the delight of the students, he delivered a serious message in a humorous way.
In his speech, Dr Wong emphasised that  prefects had a great responsibility to  be role models for their schoolmates.
They also had to be fair when solving problems  so that the students would trust them and follow their advice, he added.
As student reporters, we had the opportunity to interview Dr Wong  after the ceremony.
Dr Wong  said that he had formally retired,  but he did not intend to stop working. As an example, He cited Sir Run Run Shaw  who, at 100 years of age, is still active in the entertainment industry.
Dr Wong's motto is 'work to live, not live to work'. He said family and health are top priorities.
When you are dying, he said, it will be members of your family - not your boss - who will be at your bedside.
You have to be physically and mentally fit if you intend to live a long and meaningful  life, Dr Wong explained.
He urged young people to be daring and aim higher.  They should take calculated risks  without simply looking for a stable  job.
Dr Wong reiterated that having personal goals was important and youngsters should be ready to face future challenges.
Later, we interviewed our three new head prefects - Monic Ho, Ruby Wu and Joyce Ho.
Reporter: What is it like  being a prefect?
Monic:  I'll try my best and  be a responsible person.
Ruby:  It will improve my communication  and leadership skills
Joyce:  It's quite challenging.
Reporter: How  would you cope with  students who don't listen to you?
Monica: I'll never give up. I'll be patient.
Ruby: I'll try my best to understand their feelings.
Joyce: I'll treat them like my friends and persuade them to follow  the rules. Of course, if they continue to be disobedient,  I'll jot down their names [and take action].

NTHYK Yuen Long District Secondary School
The school's 40th anniversary dinner, attended by more than 1,000 alumni and friends, marked a memorable evening full of joy and laughter. The school has always encouraged good communication among its former students.
They enjoyed meeting each other, exchanging the latest news and taking photographs.
The ceremony started with a speech given by the principal,  Tsoi Chong-tat. He  outlined the outstanding achievements made by the school in recent years. Mr Tsoi said they would not rest on their laurels, but strive to attain loftier targets.
The dinner included lucky draws  and a video of  school-life memories, while the masters of ceremonies spiced up the occasion with their jokes and stories.
The evening came to  an end  with the alumni and teachers taking photographs, thus keeping alive the fond memories of their reunion.
We're all looking forward to  the golden jubilee anniversary dinner.
