Woman struck by delivery van dies

A 24-year-old woman who was struck by a delivery van at a pedestrian crossing in Fo Tan died of her injuries in hospital last night. The woman, surnamed Ko, was crossing Fo Tan Road near the cooked-food stalls at about 10.30am when she was hit. She suffered serious head injuries. Police are investigating whether the driver jumped a red light. Ko was out looking for work at the time. She lived with her mother and sister in Tai Po.
