JIANGSU province is expanding scientific consulting services to meet the development of the market economy, with more than 2,000 organisations engaged in this field.

A centre under the Jiangsu Provincial Science Association has made 1,000 contracts a year since 1987, involving 20 million yuan, helping small and medium-sized enterprises in remote and poor areas to upgrade their technology and equipment.
