A 36-year-old man who admitted stealing litter bins from MTR stations on six occasions was jailed for six months yesterday. Chow Tsz-wing earlier pleaded guilty in Eastern Court to five counts of theft and one count of attempted theft. He told the court he sold the stainless steel bins, each costing HK$2,500, for HK$200 to metal recyclers. The MTR has reported 13 cases of theft of litter bins since December. Chow was caught trying to steal a bin on February 22.
