An extra exhibition has been added to ArtWalk. According to organiser John Batten (right), in addition to the 55 galleries already taking part in the annual visual arts crawl through the city tonight, the last-minute attraction is an exhibition called the 'Hong Kong and Shenzhen Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism\\Architecture' at the Central Police Station. The station will stay open especially late, until 10.30pm, to accommodate the event, although the exhibition is open to everyone and not just to those on ArtWalk. Another special arrangement for the evening is that people can get into the exhibition from both the Central Police Station on Hollywood Road and the old Victoria Prison on Old Bailey Street. Other smaller extra ArtWalk events include art and design book displays by publishing firm MCCM Creations, and installations and videos at Asia Art Archive. At the Schoeni Art Gallery, working with the Society for Community Organisation, a life-sized photographic installation of a Tai Kok Tsui cage home will be displayed. The society is a beneficiary of the ArtWalk charity this year.
