Four held as cigarettes seized
Customs officers arrested four men including a mainlander, seized contraband cigarettes worth HK$2.1 million and impounded two trucks yesterday in Kwai Chung. Officers believe the cigarettes were for local consumption and intended for illegal outlets in Kowloon and the New Territories. The four suspects, aged 23 to 48, were being questioned last night.
Second arrest over sex video
Police have arrested another University of Hong Kong student in connection with the theft of a memory stick containing a video of a student having sex with his girlfriend. The man, 23, was arrested on Tuesday. He has been released on bail and must report back to police in four weeks. The first suspect, 21, was arrested on Sunday and had been released on bail. The investigation is continuing.
Kick-boxer's autopsy inconclusive
Police looking into the death of 45-year-old Swiss-born kick-boxer Pierre Ingrassia, whose body was found at a love hotel in Wan Chai on Sunday, said it was possible he suffered a heart attack. A postmortem examination had not given a conclusive reason for his death, and police said further tests like toxicology examinations were needed. Police said they found nothing suspicious.
