A world-leading multinational manufacturing group with a global workforce of 15,000 is looking for a director of global marketing to lead and manage global marketing infrastructure across all major markets, especially Asia. Asian Career is handling the search.

'The role is the mastermind of our client's core products in terms of revenue share,' said Hity Cheung, manager, executive search, industry and manufacturing practice. 'The client needs a dedicated person to focus on the marketing and strategic planning function of the business unit.'

The candidate's mission will be to drive key marketing initiatives and commercialisation of new technologies The candidate will work closely with other senior team members to use competitive advantages and drive effective development strategies. The position will also require focusing on driving key programmes to successful commercialisation, customer requirements, building road maps to potential revenue and identifying new market opportunities.

'Asia is the prime market for this product segment,' Ms Cheung said. 'So this is good career exposure for high-calibre candidates with regional or global experience.'

Applicants must have a degree in engineering and ideally a master's in business administration from a leading university.
