Dive Deep indeed. The brothers Godfrey have dispensed with all the sweetness and light that somehow just didn't feel right on 2005's The Antidote and have gone back to the murky sounds they do best.
Gone too is that album's vocalist Daisy Martey, with the boys - Ross (right) and Paul (far right)- calling on a selection of guest artists; most surprising of all is the folksy veteran pop star Judie Tzuke. She kicks things off on the mellow opening, Enjoy the Ride, and proves a wise choice, her rich voice blending smoothly into the trademark, laid-back trip hop that made Morcheeba's name.
It's almost as though one of the Godfreys stumbled over a copy of their 1996 debut Who Can You Trust? and suddenly remembered what it was all about.
